Mission and vision of Eindhoven Zoo
Eindhoven Zoo is committed to nature, animals and conservation. We like to share this with visitors. Read more about Eindhoven Zoo's mission and vision here.
Eindhoven Zoo is a place where many guests become acquainted with animals that you would not normally encounter in the Netherlands. These animals are the ambassadors of their kind in nature. By introducing visitors to these animals and actively telling them about them, Eindhoven Zoo plays an important role when it comes to wonder about and respect for nature.
Human and nature are growing further and further apart. Care for nature and attention to nature and the environment is essential for the future of our earth. Eindhoven Zoo wants to play an important role in connecting man and nature.
Eindhoven Zoo is a place where people and animals meet. The animals in the park are ambassadors of their kind in nature. People meet the most special animals in the park and in doing so they are inspired to love and respect nature. And good education plays a crucial role in this. That is why it is one of our main tasks.
Education within Eindhoven Zoo
Volunteers from Stichting Wildlife and the animal keepers are actively engaged in conveying information directly to the visitor. A visit to Eindhoven Zoo is therefore much more than just a nice day out. The term 'education' refers to educational activities in the broadest sense of the word. It includes everything to do with experiencing and learning and is aimed at visitors of all ages.
Eindhoven Zoo wants to create a positive attitude towards nature and nature conservation in the broadest sense of the word by means of various forms of education, in order to encourage visitors to actively contribute to this themselves. The importance of biodiversity will not be lacking. This is done by means of the daily Toer-de-Voer, educational (feed) presentations and educational signs.
