Stanislav moved to Bulgaria

Our vulture Stanislav moved to Bulgaria in early 2021, where he will be released into the wild in the spring (June 3, 2021). The vultures were almost extinct here, but thanks to the efforts of Green Balkans and others, the area is now once again a safe place for these birds of prey to fly around, form breeding pairs and raise their young. With the release of Stanislav, Eindhoven Zoo contributes to the recovery of the vulture population.

About Stanislav

Stanislav hatched at Eindhoven Zoo in 2020. His first months he lived with his parents in this zoo in Mierlo. When it became clear that the possibility existed for Stanislav to be released in Bulgaria, Eindhoven Zoo seized this opportunity and together with Green Balkans and Stichting Wildlife initiated this process.
