Tar-pie for the lions: MANY ANIMALS BAKE!
On Sunday, October 30, Eindhoven Zoo celebrates its 12.5 year anniversary. And a birthday is a birthday treat. But Eindhoven Zoo does things a little differently. Visitors are not treated themselves but are allowed to help out with treats. This can be done in various ways, so that this whole Sunday is dedicated to 'Heel Eindhoven Zoo Bakt'.
Visitors and employees of Eindhoven Zoo can take part in 'Heel Eindhoven Zoo Bakt' through various activities on Sunday, October 30. For example, between 10:00 and 15:00 sand artist André van Veghel will build a life-size sand castle in the front of the meerkats' enclosure, in which Eindhoven Zoo's youngest visitors may hide treats for the meerkats. The sand castle will be opened for the meerkats at 4 p.m.! But of course the other residents of Eindhoven Zoo will also get a treat....
Help make treats
Tar cake for the lions, savory vegetable and fruit cake for the elephants, carrot cake for the coyote rats, all day long children may help the animal caretakers on site prepare these treats. The feeding program with accompanying recipes will soon be available on the website.
Cake Contest
Visitors can also start making a cake á la 'Heel Holland Bakt' at home. For people or for animals, both are allowed! They can participate in a pie contest, where the winner will be announced at 16.00 on the event square. The winner will win a special package at Eindhoven Zoo. Participants for the contest can registerSign in here.
