Jaya is turning 1 year old!
Hooray!!! Witwanggibbon Jaya turns 1 year old on Sunday, November 10! Jaya was the very first witwanggibbon born in Eindhoven Zoo. At first it was always a bit exciting to come and play outside, but lately Jaya has been swinging through Eindhoven Zoo's trees with her parents in full swing.
Jaya is growing considerably. She is still blonde now, but it won't be long before she starts to turn a little black. After about 6 years, females turn blonde again. Jaya will probably be between 45 and 63 centimeters long and weigh about 5.7 kilograms. Just a little more growing so Jaya!
