In wolves, a group is called a pack. My parents are the leaders of the pack. They are called the "alpha pair. Besides my siblings, sometimes wolves who are not related join. A pack usually consists of 5 to 9 wolves, but it can be as many as 36! How big is your family?

    Pups

Within a pack, only the alpha pair gets puppies. The others help with grooming. Until we are 6 weeks old, we eat meat that the others break up for us. Yummy! Then they bring us pieces of meat. When we are 10 months old, we join the hunt. Together we can catch big prey, such as elk and bison. Usually we choose a sick or old animal.
