Family

Common porcupines are monogamous. This means that a male and female stay together as a pair throughout their lives. Young often stay with their parents for a few years. A family group lives together in a large burrow underground.

Long teeth

I am a rodent. As with all rodents, my front teeth grow throughout my life. To keep them sharp, I regularly gnaw on bones of dead animals.
