An egg comes with the territory

Like all turtles, I was born from an egg. My mother lays eggs in a hole in the forest. That's where the nest is best hidden. It depends on the temperature whether a male or female crawls out of the egg: the warmer the more males! However, the temperature should always be between 23 and 34°C.

At large

After the eggs are laid, the parents no longer take care of them. I also had to take care of myself right away and be very careful of predators such as birds, foxes and wild boars.

Supershield

Since my fourth birthday, my shield has become completely hard and a good armor in which to retreat. Forest fires, cars and poachers remain a threat to me.
