With the rest

When I fly, you can easily recognize me by my V-shaped tail feathers. Also, I am often together with other kites. For birds of prey, this is special.

Eating in the air

I am very good at catching fish in fast-flowing rivers. While flying, I can catch insects in the air. Furthermore, small birds, reptiles, amphibians and rodents are on my menu. I carry the caught prey with my claws and eat them while flying.

Leftovers

I also eat carrion, such as from an animal hit by a car. Near a city, I find food in the garbage dump. In short, I can survive in many different places. However, I do like to always have water nearby.
