Candle Straight

Walking around Bird Kingdom I do so with big, brisk strides. When I take a rest, I stand up dead straight. Often with one leg folded under my wing. But I can fly very well, too!

Loud clattering

In nature I prefer to be alone or with my female. Every year I look for a new female. Like white storks, we greet each other with a loud clapping while nodding our heads back to our backs.

Man-shy

We like to stay away from people, villages and cities and we nest in quiet forest areas, near water. Often with some other nests nearby. It sometimes happens that I unintentionally take care of young from other nests as well. Even sometimes for the young of the hammerhead or the Indian black eagle!
