Grass grazing

In nature, I live mostly on grassy plains where some trees and bushes also grow. I eat from the grass and leaves. I also like to eat fruits as monkeys drop them from a tree.

Camouflage

If I am lying in the shade and a little sun shines through the leaves, the white spots in my coat are a very good camouflage color.

Wanted prey

I almost never go into the dense jungle. Way too dangerous! There live tigers, leopards and Asian wild dogs who find me a tasty snack. In the jungle I can't see those predators coming very well and they can surprise me. When flight fails, these predators have "Axis deer" on the menu.
